Cuban Baseball

For the first time in over 40 years, an organized tour of  American baseball  “aficionados” comes to Cuba through the back door, flying from Canada to experience baseball that remains, like Cuba, stuck in a time warp. That’s the lure for these baseball purists, turned off by the commercialism of the American game.

CUBABALL follows the week long journey of this educated, eclectic and eccentric group of self-confessed
"baseball nuts" as they travel to the heart of Cuba and Cuban baseball.

Weaved throughout this cuban baseball documentary are flashbacks, telling the lore of 150 years of Cuban baseball - the little known stories and anecdotes revealing the close connection between American and Cuban baseball.

Beautifully photographed and wonderfully told by Cuban and English narrators, Cubaball is an entertaining, revealing chronicle, that offers rare insight into a game and a people that remain so simple and innocent.
